GTFS Archive

Overview

The General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) is an Open Standard used to distribute relevant information about transit systems to riders. It allows public transit agencies to publish their transit data in a format that can be consumed by a wide variety of software applications.

This dataset contains historical static GTFS feeds for the Port Authority / Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) system. As of March 2026, feeds are available for selected picks (schedule periods) from November 2007-November 2011, and for all schedule periods from November 2011 – present.

The current GTFS feed files are pulled daily from https://www.rideprt.org/developerresources/ and, when a new file is detected, it is added to the list below.

For detailed documentation on the GTFS standard, the feed formats archived in this dataset, and availability of feeds by time range and format, see the PRT GTFS Tech Doc. The Feed Notes spreadsheet file provides additional information about the GTFS feed .zip files and their formats.
