Inspections of Plumbing Project Plans by the Department of Health. This applies to any plumbing that is installed or altered. It includes replacement cards for the installation of water heaters and dishwasher transmittal sheets. Approximately 14,000 plans are filed, reviewed, and have permits issued by the Health Department annually. Previously, residents were required to submit a formal Right-to-Know request to the Office of Open Records for access to plumbing inspection. These records can now be downloaded and accessed without a request.

Due to a process error the Plumbing Inspection Violations were under-represented and have been removed from this dataset as of September 2024. The Allegheny County Health Department will be implementing a new software system by early 2025 that will restore the information for future inspections.
