The data feed for this dataset is under maintenance. We're established a new feed for plumbing inspections and are working to restore the violations feed.

Inspections of Plumbing Project Plans by the Department of Health. This applies to any plumbing that is installed or altered. It includes replacement cards for the installation of water heaters and dishwasher transmittal sheets. Approximately 14,000 plans are filed, reviewed, and have permits issued by the Health Department annually. Previously, residents were required to submit a formal Right-to-Know request to the Office of Open Records for access to plumbing inspection. These records can now be downloaded and accessed without a request.

NOTE: 07/29/2026 Following the transition to a new software system in October 2025, Allegheny County has identified undercounting within the Plumbing Inspection and Violations shared on this resource. Updates to this dataset will be suspended pending development of a new solution for gathering and sharing this data accurately.
