Regular parking zones are non-overlapping. Every meter or payment point is in exactly one regular parking zone. (See the Pittsburgh Parking Meters and Payment Points dataset for the allocation of meters to zones.) This data table contains transactions from special extra collections of meters (which we call "sampling zones"), which are used for assessing parking activity in particular areas. Meters may be in more than one sampling zone, and sampling zones can overlap with other sampling zones.
