Actuated: When signal timing is determined by the number of vehicle's being detected - that determines how much green time is used for the particular movement. Actuated ped: Opposite of " fixed ped " where an actual ped button must be push to activate timing for that movement. Fixed ped: Ped timing (walk - flashing don't walk) is active 24/7 where no ped buttons are needed to be active. Fixed / ped actuated: Used normally in exclusive ped applications where an all red condition exists and ped timing for all movements are active. Fully Actuated: All movements are controlled by loop sensors, cameras, radar's, microwave detectors etc... Semi-Actuated: Only side street movements have detections - main street has set timing's. Master: A controller is used to send out commands to other timers for the purpose to keep corners in step with one another for a progressive movement.
